Miss Fong Diaper Bag

I have been looking for a good quality and cute diaper bag for so long! I wanted something with a lot of room. I also was looking for a bag that was comfortable because most of the time I’m holding a baby or chasing after a toddler (or both😅😂) so a backpack was preferable. WELL.. I found exactly what I was looking for! You guys, this Miss Fong bag is my favorite diaper bag I’ve ever had. And you cannot beat the price!! They have their own website but they also are on Amazon! Lifestyle Photoshoot

We got the opportunity to take some photos with Brittney, my dear friend and owner of Knudsen Photos and Lifestyle (Instagram: @knudsenphotos.lifestyle) and to say I’m obsessed is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I loved taking photos in our new home. I felt like we would be more ourselves and it was nice to be in our element. It wasn’t so much posing and staring straight on at the camera, it was more just candid, doing what we do every day, and Brittney snapping photos of us. I wanted to share some of my favorites here on my blog. It’s honestly hard to even narrow it down to these favorites cause I have so many. Also, it will give you a little sneak peak of our new home. It was finished being built in September so we’ve lived here for four months now. One day, when the house is more decorated, I’ll do a house reveal.

Eight Months Old.

Can't believe the last time I did a post Wesley was five months old.. and now he's a week away from being a nine month old :( Why does time have to go by so fast?! No but seriously this has to be my favorite age so far. He's so fun! He has the best personality and I love watching him and Jake together. They are best buds and it is the cutest thing. By the time Jake gets home from work.. I think Wesley is sick of seeing my face ha! So he gets super excited to see his daddy. Plus Jake is way more fun than I am ;) Sometimes I feel like I have a toddler already. He opens up all the cupboards in the kitchen and pulls out all the pots and pans.. he dives from the couch onto the bean bag.. like what the heck?? Hahah he is such a boy!!

We moved to Utah about three weeks ago and I am loving it here. I just love being in a bigger city. Rexburg was way too small for me.. and too windy! I love having family and friends close by.

Be in the now.

When Wesley goes down for a nap, I have to be cuddling him or he won't fall asleep. I have to be as close to him as possible, it's really quite cute. It makes me feel so loved & needed. But I will admit, there are times when I have thought to myself, "I wish he would just go to sleep on his own. I have things I should be getting done." Then today, after I fed him his bottle & he fell asleep in my arms, I started to think of how I was gonna get out of the bed without waking him up. I began to move my arm out from underneath him, when he woke up & just stared at me.. like he was making sure I was still there. He started to doze off again but then opened his eyes a few more times just to make sure I was still there with him. In that moment, I realized something important. I realized I shouldn't be focusing on what needs to get done around the house.. I realized I shouldn't be thinking about the shows on Netflix I could be watching. Because this little five-month-old boy of mine will never be this little again. He will grow up so fast & one day I will miss this time of our lives more than anything. Someday he'll be twelve & he will think cuddling his mama is weird. Someday he'll be eighteen & he'll be too busy with school and his friends to cuddle his mama. Someday he'll be twenty-five & he'll have a wife to cuddle instead. & that's okay... But for now, cuddling him while he sleeps should be something I don't take for granted. It should be something I really let soak in. It should be something I make sure I'm "in the now" for. Because this little boy of mine won't always need me the way he does now.

Three Months Old!

K guys I'm waaaayy behind and didn't even do a blog post of Wesley at one month or two months but oh well.. I guess i'll start now! He is the happiest baby on the planet. He's seriously such a good baby and we are so lucky! I'm prepared for our next baby to be a lot harder. Wesley, as of the past week, loves to hold his feet and pull them up close to his face. He loves to suck on his hands and fingers.. and Jake caught him sucking his toes the other day! He loves when we hold him up and make him stand. He still wakes me up twice at night but just to eat and then goes right back to sleep. We just love him SOOO much! This past week he got the flu and it broke my heart to see him throwing up. I freaked out because he started choking a little bit.. I woke Jake up at 5:30am because it scared me so much then Jake cleaned up all the throw up because he's such an awesome husband ;)

Tomorrow we're leaving for Utah for a few days because my parents are moving some stuff up. By the end of this month, they'll be all moved into their new house! SO WEIRD. But I'm really excited they'll only be 4 hours away instead of 15. I plan on visiting them like once a month which will keep me more sane haha.

Jake and I got asked to be models in a stylized photoshoot last week so that was really fun for us. After having a baby three months ago, I think I needed that confidence booster. I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out for it!
